Name: Neil Kelley
Job Title: CIM Course Leader
Length of time at college: 14 months

As the Course Leader for the Professional Marketing qualifications I have numerous lecturing and management responsibilities and with the planned expansion and development of Doncaster Business School I’ve become involved with some very exciting projects.

The Business School is located at the fantastic High Melton campus, surrounded by beautiful countryside, great views and a golf course – it’s a great environment to work in! As well as fulfilling the role of CIM Course Leader I also fill my time with other marketing activities and am an examiner for the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the University of Cambridge, amongst other positions.

I’m very passionate about marketing as a business discipline and the benefits it can deliver to organisations, and this comes through in my teaching and support. Recently we’ve spent time putting together podcasts, videocasts and other innovative forms of learning materials for the marketing students and they’ve become very popular in the short amount of time they’ve been available.

The Innovation Academy, something I have become involved with at the Business School, is also an exciting new project that is still in its infancy but has massive potential in developing new businesses and bringing economic growth to the Doncaster area.

As you can probably tell I’m very happy in my job, and believe that Doncaster College is a great place to work. If the College continues to develop and grow as it is doing now we’ll become a major educational force to be reckoned with.
