Name: Alison Turner
Age: 18
Course: BTEC National Diploma in Health and Social Care
Interesting Fact: I applied for a diploma course at university but got straight onto the degree course because of my great results.

I love the course; the students have a great rapport together and get on very well with the tutors, too. I was at Sixth Form and swapped over to the College a few weeks into the course but I was made very welcome and settled in very quickly.

I have really enjoyed my time at the College. I started on the Level 2 course at the College, passed that and now am finishing the Level 3 course and am off to university later this year. I only applied for a diploma course at the university but because of my great results at College they said I could go straight onto their degree programme so I’m so excited.

I want to go into Children’s Nursing because of the experiences I have had on placements while at the College. I really like being around children and I think that’s where my future lies.
