| Name: Jack Watling |
| Course: A-Levels |
| Interesting Fact: I’m part of the Medieval
Re-enactment group at College |
I’m in my first year doing A-Levels at
The Hub. I think it’s great. I’m doing Film Studies, English
Language, English Literature and Media Studies.
I didn’t think I was going to do further
education but I want to go into the RAF and because I didn’t really
have any qualifications, I decided to come to Doncaster
College.
The RAF require decent grades so that’s why
I’ve come back to education. Hopefully I can get what I need this
year, go onto A2 next year and then get into employment. I’ve
always wanted to be in the forces – I think because I have a lot of
family members who are in the forces so I hear stories all the
time.
I’ve been really impressed by the Hub since it
opened last year and I’ve made loads of really good friends. One
thing that needs sorting is that there needs to be a common room,
possibly with a games room so people can play pool or something. I
think people would get on better and interact with each other more
if there was a games room. Everyone loves playing pool so it could
bring people together.
Away from College, I enjoy doing typical
student things like socialising around town, drinking – obviously
in moderation – and I love motorbikes too.
I have made loads of friends here and I would
definitely recommend College life.
