| Name: Joseph Sithole |
| Courses: BTEC National Diploma in
Business |
| Interesting Fact: I’m hoping to compete
at the Olympic Games one day. |
I am very proud to be one of the first
students to appear on the new improved College website. The Hub makes a lot of difference to students
and makes life easier. The atmosphere of The Hub is pleasant and
the students get along well. I am very proud to be part of the
College and would strongly advise people to be part of the hub, get
enrolled and come experience this friendly learning environment -
who would not want to learn and have fun at the same
time.
I am studying the BTEC
national diploma in Business at the moment and also doing a
work experience on the Marketing
department in College. I came into this country three years ago
because there are better opportunities for me both in education and
also in improving my sports interests. I love sprinting and when I
left Africa, I was the best at my school in 200meters sprints. I
have been to the try-outs for the Doncaster Athletics
team, was successful in joining the team and I am to start
training with club soon. After I start my training I will then be
competing nationally for Doncaster and hopefully one day for the
country. I would also like to start a College athletics team that
will prosper and represent the College.
Coming to Doncaster changed a lot as I was
used to living in big cities. I have adjusted into living in a
small town and find it exciting. I lived in Harare, which is the
capital city of Zimbabwe. Living in this country is a lot
different. The weather is cold but in Zimbabwe it’s mostly
sunny throughout the year. The school term here starts in September
whereas in Zimbabwe they start in January.
I would be very honoured to represent all
students in any way possible and help the Hub become a better
place. For The Hub to be a better place
let us all unite, learn and help each other as one big family.
There are courses available for everyone here from GCSE's, A' levels and even practical courses that don’t
even need qualifications so don’t think its the end of the world if
you don’t have those GCSE’s .
Lastly I would ask people to have a look at
the new website as it has been improved.
It is now easier to use and with more relevant information. Don’t
worry it’s not only serious information found on the web page -
there are also fun games to play.
