Looked After Children and Care Leaver Learners
At Doncaster College we recognise that sometimes young people
with experiences of being in care sometimes want or need a little
extra support.
We are committed to ensuring our looked after young people and
care leavers receive the best opportunities and support to
succeed.

Our Educational Champion for Looked After Children will offer
each young person personalised support, which can include the
following:
- Outreach work
- Advice and guidance
- Enrichment opportunities
- Retention and progression support
- Advocating on your behalf
- Accommodation issues
- Support in accessing services
- One to one sessions

Year 11 Transition Programme
The Year 11 Transition Programme aims to:
- To provide personalised advice, guidance and support to looked
after Year 11’s considering Doncaster College.
- To promote the opportunities and support services at Doncaster
College.
- To support young people to complete a successful transition
from statutory education to Doncaster College
