Student Comments

"Before I came to Doncaster College, I did a Foundation Degree in what is advertised as one of the best Arts University’s in the UK. What I found though was quite disappointing as I didn’t really learn much about my subject area and the tutor support was lacking. Here at Doncaster College I have found the opposite where the tutors are really helpful and lead you in the right direction." SS, International student from Thailand
"During my study I have understood where I need to be thanks to the 2 year Foundation Degree in Animation & Games Art which has had a huge impact on my creative skills development and given me a clear understanding of concept art. Tutors on the BA Illustration & Animation top-up course are really helpful in giving advise and training on a specific area of your own interest – I just wish that I could spend more time here to develop even further as an artist. I would completely recommend the BA Illustration & Animation top-up course and the previous 2 year Foundation Degree to anyone" NS
Previous FdA Animation and Games Art graduate Darren Watford, who now works at Blitz says "The FdA Animation & Games Art and BA (Hons) Illustration & Animation courses at Doncaster focuses not only on digital skills, but also on traditional art and animation techniques which are essential to the games industry." Darren Watford, Concept Artist, Blitz Games Studios
