Not only does the course give you the opportunity to acquire specialist skills in the areas of devising and writing for screen, cinematography, and directing and editing, but the exciting range of modules on offer also prepares you for the multi-skilled demands of video production work.

This course will allow you to engage in all phases of the production process, from script to screen, with the emphasis on reinforcing awareness of technical and aesthetic innovations and developments in the ever-changing world of digital film-making.

You will also have opportunities to collaborate across different creative areas in the School of Arts and work on projects together with actors, dancers, musicians and music technologists - a feature that most film/media production related courses are unable to offer in-house.

Not only will you learn the principles and conventions of narrative film making, the course will also encourage the exploration of more experimental forms of Moving Image media such as installation works, art films, animation and music video production.
