HND Mechanical Engineering
The HND in Mechanical Engineering has been designed to continue
from the HNC, allowing students to up-skill their Engineering
qualification.
Attendance will normally consist of one extended day a week for
34 weeks over a period of one year. There is a mixture of classroom
and practical activity throughout the course.

- Fluid Mechanics
- Further Analytical Methods for Engineers

- Computer Aided Machining
- Design for Manufacture
- Mechatronic Systems
Assessment
Assessment will be carried out by means of a number of
Assignments, Laboratory Exercises, Coursework and Examinations.
Entry Requirements
One of the following:
- HNC in Engineering
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
We welcome applications from people of any age who might not
meet the standard entry criteria, but we would expect to see
evidence of continuing academic and/or professional development and
a capacity to pursue the course successfully.
