Biography
Since graduating from York School of Art in 1973 (Distinction –
Advertising Graphics YCFHE) I have held a number of roles within
the Graphic Design industry. Culminating in being a partner in
Anderton Overton Design, a York based design group specialising in
work for the tourism industry. Clients included:
- Portakabin
- Belgium Tourist Board
- Manchester Airport
- Rainbow Holidays
- Gateway Yorkshire
- Shire Inns
- Jetset Holidays
- Tour East London
- Yorkshire Tourist Board
- Shropshire Tourist Board
- City of York Council
- Ryedale District Council
- Teesdale District council
- The Brewers Society
I have also been involved with model making commissions for
clients including:
- Leisure Solutions.
- York Mystery Plays.
- Hartlepool Historic Quay.
- Imperial War Museum (Duxford).
- Coventry Cathedral.
- York Castle Museum.
As well as having a passion for typography and all things
graphics, I collect old toys and enjoy seeking out obscure film and
TV locations.

Research / scholarly activity
I have successfully undertaken training with LSIS to become a
Subject Learning Coach.
Projects
I am currently developing links with local industry, generating
a programme of live briefs for the ED Creative Graphic Design and
Media students.
