Current roles
Programme Leader: BA (Hons) Moving Image Production
Biography
I am an experienced producer, director and sound engineer and
have worked in the industry for over 19 years. I began my career in
1992 working backstage at a local venue, eventually working my way
up to sound and lighting assistant for artists such as Chuck Berry,
The Kinks and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
In 1995 I moved to Manchester to study Professional Sound and
Video Technology at Salford University. Whilst studying I also
worked at the Nynex Arena and The Academy, working with artists
like Pavarotti, Oasis and Eric Clapton.
Following my studies, I worked and freelanced for a variety of
companies including Kiss FM, Galaxy FM, DEP Studios (owned by
UB40), Two Up Studios, Granada TV and Alfasound.
A couple of years later I joined Lincs FM Group as a Commercial
Producer where my talent was quickly recognised and I started to
win international awards such as the New York Festivals and the
London International Advertising Awards. As the company expanded I
became the Group Commercial Production Manager responsible for the
commercial output of all the group's radio stations.
In 2004, I became a resident lecturer in Media Audio and Music
Technology at Doncaster College, before becoming Course Leader for
Music Technology and then having written the programme
specifications for BA (Hons) Moving Image Production I became the
Programme Leader at the University Centre Doncaster.
