Biography
I am currently a freelance Audio Engineer, Producer and
Educator. I trained at the Gateway School of Recording in Kingston
and went on to gain a MMus in Music Technology from Leeds
University. Since 1989 I have worked regularly in both Industry and
Education.
Industrial experience
Audio and Video Production and Engineering for commercial
releases, theatre, video, dance, music performance, and new
media.
Training and Education experience
Programme Manager of a large FE/HE Performing Arts Department;
HE Course Leadership and Development; HE Lecturing; Delivery of
Music Technology Training from Primary to Post-graduate and
Industry Levels.
Currently an A-Level Examiner in Music Technology for
Edexcel
Current modules taught
- Sound Recording 1 and 2
- Long / Short Study
Research/scholarly activity
Post-graduate research specialisms were soundscape composition
and multi-channel music production.

Recent album releases include:

- Stranger Than Fiction by Kayla Kavanagh (Released 2010)
Recent Live Sound experience includes music and theatre
performances at Edinburgh Fringe; The Crucible, Sheffield; York
Theatre Royal and West Yorkshire Playhouse
