Biography
After holding a variety of technical roles including that of
Systems Analyst and Engineering Programmer, I began a teaching
career of nine years in computing related subjects with Barnsley
College. I then went on to work in a HR department for eight years,
following which I resumed my education. This ultimately led to a
return to lecturing and to the privilege of once again contributing
to the learning journey of students.

Research / scholarly activity
I am currently researching the impact of employee voice on
employee engagement amongst academics with Sheffield Hallam
University.
