I am a Lecturer in Professional and eLearning Development at University Centre Doncaster and an Associate Lecturer with the Open University, teaching Research with Children and Young People.
Prior to joining UCD, I have worked as an educational researcher with the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning and the Design and Technology Education Subject group at Sheffield Hallam University, as well as in a research consultant role with the Design and Technology Association (DATA). I am currently undertaking a teaching fellowship with the Open University’s Support Centre for Open Resources in Education (SCORE), exploring the role of open educational resources in research methods teaching. My research interests include e-learning pedagogy, web 2.0 technology in education, open educational resources, research methods teaching, children’s use of technology, children’s participation in research, enhancing employability and learner autonomy in higher education.
