Posted: 13th November 2014

A special 100th year anniversary event took place at Doncaster College’s Hub Campus on Tuesday 11th November joining generations of young and old in commemorating the start of the First World War.

Students and staff from the College organised a variety of activities relevant to the era to mark the occasion in a respectful, moving and entertaining way.  Veterans and residents of local care homes were invited into the College for an afternoon of dancing of the decade, quizzes, games, as well as entertainment from a brass band and Rose the Forces Sweetheart.
