Triple Win at Taekwondo Commonwealth Games

Posted: 13th March 2015

Three Sport and Public Services students have been successful in winning medals in their respective weight categories at the Taekwondo Commonwealth Games held in Scotland earlier this year.

Dominic Naylor, 17 and Emily Watson, 16 both brought home Silver Medals, with Brandon Naylor, 17 achieving Bronze.  The students have also been selected to attend the British Taekwondo Training Camp.

The students are members of the Scorpion Taekwondo Club which is linked to Doncaster College through the satellite club scheme. The Scorpion Club delivers the Taekwondo programme and the three winning students have often attended College sessions for extra training.

College Sport Maker, Craig Robinson explained that, “Dominic, Brandon and Emily are great role models for Doncaster College, their success has inspired new students to participate in the Colleges evening Taekwondo sessions.”
