Early Years Students Gain International Perspective

Posted: 8th June 2015

Year two BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies students have recently enjoyed an enriching week of study.  Director of Archimedes Training, Sarah Blackwell visited the University Centre sharing her recent experience of visiting early year’s provision in Australia, Cambodia and China as well as discussing international projects and training that she is engaged in.

Programme Leader Janine Ryan explained, ‘It was really useful for students to understand different international approaches to early education and gain some insight into how an outdoor learning approach can inform and shape practice, having a positive impact on children’s lives.’

Students also held a poster conference at The Stables, High Melton on the International Perspectives they have been studying. The event was well attended by staff and Early Years students giving them the chance to present their works to a different audience in an informal, relaxed way.
