Recent Childcare student Jordon Murray has achieved his dream by gaining a place at the prestigious Norland College.
The College has an international reputation for excellence, providing the very best early years degree education and childcare training for its students. Graduates go on to look after the children of some of the richest people in the world, including celebrities and royalty and most famously the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Jordon initially started at sixth form after secondary school but after struggling with exams decided to rethink his options. Deciding to pursue his interest in early years education lead him to place on the Childcare course at Doncaster College. With the reassurance of lots of practical work and no exams, Jordon flourished, gaining once in a lifetime opportunities working abroad and in the UK across a variety of early years settings with children from birth to 11 years of age. Impressing his first placement employer so much he was offered a part time job that worked round his studies.
“My tutors were so supportive and understanding of all of the students’ needs and are more than happy to help. You can genuinely see that they go out of their way to make our learning as enriching as they can”.
When choosing his next step Jordon set his sights on one particular University, Norland. With his application shining through to interview and a nervous 4:30am start for the journey to Bath, Jordon ended his studies on a high, gaining his predicted A* at Level 3 and getting his dream place at the top international University for Early Years education.
