We are so proud of our Doncaster Knights Academy team who have recently won promotion in the British Universities and College Sports (BUCS) league.
A season of hard work and dedication has seen the team undefeated and with the recent victory of 86-0 over Sheffield Hallam this secured a well-deserved promotion for the team, meaning that the Academy, who are in only their second season of league competition, will compete in BUCS league Northern 4B for 2018/19 and face a step up in opposition.
Good luck to the Knights Academy today who are looking to retain their undefeated title against Manchester Metropolitan University today at Castle Park!
Doncaster Knights Rugby Academy runs alongside the education provision here at Doncaster College and University Centre, offering a broad range of courses from Level 1 right through to Level 6. The ambition of the Academy is to develop young sportsmen within a professional sporting environment during their education journey.
Based at Castle Park Stadium and delivered by DRFC Rugby Development Manager Ant Posa alongside Knights first team players Tyson Lewis and Richard List. Players that excel in the academy will be provided with the opportunity to train with the Knights first team and be in consideration for selection.
