Doncaster College and University Centre are experiencing significant IT disruption.
College investigations determined IT systems were breached following a new type of cyber attack unknown to College anti-virus software.
A College spokesperson said: “We have informed the Information Commissioner’s Office, the ESFA and national cyber security agencies of the situation. The IT team are working hard with external consultants and our anti-virus vendor to recover our services as quickly and safely as possible.”
We are aware that other educational institutions have also been victim to similar cyber attacks over recent weeks.
The College will be opening as planned on Monday 7th September.
