Live, Work and Play

DN Colleges Group is thriving. Set across two important regions in South Yorkshire (Doncaster College) and North Lincolnshire (North Lindsey College) we are one of the largest college groups with a turnover of over £50m and operate a multi-site estate delivering education and training to more than 13,000 students including significant and growing apprenticeships and Higher Education provision. With 2,500 HE students this makes us one of the country’s largest providers of HE from within FE. The Group has stability, is financially secure and employs over 1,300 staff.

Fantastic Location

South Yorkshire is full of pleasant surprises. Once an industrial heartland, the region has been transformed into a 21st Century playground with a passion for music, sport and culture. So, alongside some of the UK’s best shopping, family attractions and nightlife, you’ll find some of UK’s finest Gothic architecture, museums and Victorian monuments. This engaging mix of old and new makes South Yorkshire a must for every generation.

There’s so much to see and do. Discover our wide range of visitor attractions or simply take a stroll through our picturesque countryside.

Doncaster has become the UK’s best-connected location. With new homes, Robin Hood Doncaster Sheffield Airport and major commercial developments Doncaster is an attractive place to live and visit.

Doncaster is becoming a destination in its own right, with a wide range of tourist attractions to visit such as the Racecourse which holds the famous St Ledger horse race there and Yorkshire Wildlife Park.

Experience professional sport, live events, work out in a gym off campus or on campus, swimming or taking a countryside walk. Slow down the pace but not the interest with a trip to the theatre, take the family to watch the latest movie, play ten pin bowling. We have something for everyone.

With friendly and welcoming communities, it’s a safe place to live, work and bring up a family. Surrounded by stunning countryside but with lots to offer in the town there’s plenty to see and do. Take in a show at the theatre, watch the latest film at the multiplex cinema, play sport, join a club or society or simply enjoy walking alongside the river or in the countryside.

We have a fabulous outdoor market, one of the oldest and largest in the country, a beautifully structured town centre that is pedestrian friendly and includes the iconic St George’s Minster and shopping centre offering many of the high street names people look for as part of their retail experience, complemented by a large number of independent retailers providing a different and niche offer.

Much of Greater Lincolnshire and South Yorkshire enjoys relatively low housing costs, which contributes to making it a great place to live and work.

Whether it’s a town or village experience, contemporary or traditional housing, buying or renting, living in Doncaster and the surrounding area is affordable and offers something for everyone.
