AAT Access Award in Bookkeeping Level 1

The AAT Access Award in Bookkeeping offers students at Level 1 the opportunity to develop practical bookkeeping skills. This qualification may help students to move on to further study in either accountancy or bookkeeping with AAT, offer a route into employment or be of interest to those already in employment

AAT Accounting Level 2

The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) course will start in September 2019 and will run until July 2020.  This is an excellent course provided by the college and most employers are asking potential or existing employees to gain this qualification, as they would now be part of a professional body

AAT Accounting Level 4

The AAT Level 4 programme is perfect to advance your career in the finance and accounting sector. On completion of the course you will be well prepared for roles including Finance Manager, Purchase or Sales ledger Clerk, or a Bookkeeper.

Access to H.E. – Midwifery, Child Nursing & Related Professions

This course is for anyone who is interested in progressing to University to study for a degree in a Health-related profession such as Midwifery, Child Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Operating Department Assistant, etc

The course can be studying over one year (2 days per week in college – Wed/Thur) or over 2 years (one day per week in college – Thur only).

Access courses are for students aged 19+.

Access to Higher Education – Level 2

Access to Higher Education courses are for students wishing to progress to University but do not have A level qualifications. Our Level 2 Access to HE course is for students who need to develop their academic skills before moving on to Level 3. Level 3 Access courses are academically demanding as they are equivalent to A levels. You will work towards the 'Progression to Further Study in Health Science Professions Level 2 Diploma'. The Diploma is a suitable progression route onto all of our Level 3 Access to HE programmes.

Access to Higher Education Diploma Humanities and Social Sciences Pathway

Offering a wide range of courses ranging from brush-up literacy / numeracy skills, to higher level 3 Access to HE & Training Diploma courses, Doncaster College Access programme provides high quality education, personal development and progression opportunities for all adult learners. Increasingly, adults are returning to education through the Access to Adult Learning & Training courses, in order to improve their job prospects, or to take on the challenge of a university education. Access programmes are developed to enable ‘adult returnees’ to build upon their past work and life experiences to increase their self confidence, self belief, academic and personal skills.

Access to Higher Education Diploma Science and Health Related Professions

Level 3 Access courses allow mature students to progress to University courses. The Science and Health-related Professions route is suitable for anyone wishing to progress to degrees in subjects such as Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Dental Hygiene & Therapy, Radiography, Radiotherapy & Oncology or other biology or chemistry-based degrees. RECRUITMENT FOR SEPT 2018 START IS NOW CLOSED.

Accounting skills are in demand by commercial and industrial organisations, central and local government, the NHS and the voluntary sector, as well as by specialist accounting firms.


Adult Care NCFE Diploma Level 3

This course is for people who are in a caring role within the Health and Social Care sector. You may be employed full or part-time, paid or voluntary. This qualification allows people to become more competent, confident in their work and will increase their value in the employment market. It will also enable candidates to progress to further education and training.

Advanced Massage

Massage involves working the soft tissue of the body, to ease day-to-day stresses and muscular tension, and promote relaxation. It helps to increase delivery of blood and oxygen to the treated areas and can also be used in support of other therapies to assist in the rehabilitation of muscular injuries.

Air Cabin Crew Level 2

This exciting program is aimed at learners who would like to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of the role of Air Cabin Crew to hopefully progress into employment within the Aviation Industry.

Animal Care C&G Level 1 Diploma

The course is designed for all ages who may be looking for an animal related career. It will provide you with the skills and vocational qualifications to work in an animal related environment.

Animal Care C&G Level 2

The Animal Care Level 2 Diploma provides learners with knowledge and skills in key areas relating to the Land Based sector, supporting progression to Level 3 land based provisions and employment.

Animal Care NOCN Life Skills

The Life Skills programmes of study provide learners with knowledge and skills in key areas relating to the Land Based sector as well as self-development. The course supports progression to Level 1 land based provisions.
