Course Overview

On completing the course, the learner will need to attend an Exam Day at Doncaster College ICT Academy’s Autodesk Authorised Training Centre to sit the final assessments. City & Guilds certificates are awarded when the learner has successfully completed all the assessments.

Exam days are available on a monthly basis.

Units and Structure

On completion of the course, the learner will:

  • Be able to use a parametric modelling workstation safely
  • Be able to create sketches
  • Be able to create work features and use features
  • Be able to create table driven parts and assemblies
  • Be able to understand motion and driven assembly constraints
  • Be able to create a drawing layout to aid the interpretation of design intent
  • Be able to create presentation quality displays of parts and assemblies.

Entry Requirements

You'll need to have:

Prior knowledge of using a computer running Windows is essential.

Have reached a level of competence in using Autodesk Inventor, to at least equal to the requirements of the City & Guilds 7689-101 CAD Using Parametric Modelling Software Level 1 Award scheme.
