Graduation Destinations

JB came to the college as a mature learner with few qualifications. He undertook a HND, progressed onto the Top Up and gained some work experience at a local professional football club, through this, which led to paid work and from this he travelled with the Rotherham United Football Club first team squad to their play off final at Wembley in 2010.

When he retired from professional football Richie Barker already had a Foundation Degree. Once retired, he went into coaching and wanted to undertake the BSc (Hons) Top Up to ensure he had a full degree and also to add more scientific rigour to his practice as a coach. He has now had a successful career as a professional football manager, and is currently an assistant manager within League One.

HM has successfully gained employment as a coordinator on Leeds Carnegie’s prestigious weight loss campus.
