You will develop the skills needed to care for a baby or young child. You will complete a range of units to achieve the qualification.

Units and Structure

The units you will cover:

  • Personal development
  • The importance of a safe and hygienic environment for a young child
  • Healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle.
  • The importance of day to day routines, play and learning in the home
  • Communication, listening to and talking with a young child
  • Creative activities
  • Health and Safety.

You will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience with our electronic babies.

Entry Requirements

You'll need to have:

  • No academic qualifications are required
  • All applicants must complete a Skills Review in Maths and English and attend an interview
  • Uniform must be applied for.
