Units and Structure
The course is delivered through a series of 8 units, each with their own set of assignments.
Units 1-3: You will be creating multiple creative media projects, learning new skills with workshop sessions and practicing with equipment. Within this you will cover the theoretical links needed to research, reflect and evaluate your projects.
Units 4-7: Are focused on developing your skills further through the creation of larger projects including film, animation and special effects. In these units you will be also learning interactive media skills. Sound design will also factor into these units to enhance your visuals to add mood and atmosphere!
Unit 8: Gives you the freedom to choose an area of interest to explore for the final major project.
All assignment briefs have a vocational context; you will be assessed based on a portfolio of work created through the project. By the end of each year you will have a variety of content for a show reel demonstrating your skills ready for the industry or progression onto level 3.
