The course is a natural progression route for those completing the Level 1 course, and who wish to find employment within engineering.
The programme of study will offer the students the chance to learn both Mechanical Engineering skills that are sought in the sector.

Units and Structure
The course will cover:
- Working Safely in an Engineering Environment
- Carrying out engineering activities efficiently and effectively
- Using and communicating Technical Information
- Producing Components using Hand Fitting Techniques
- Producing Components using Milling and Turning Equipment
Assessment will be ongoing throughout the course by the creation of as portfolio of evidence of tasks produced and underpinning knowledge of each element.

- GCSE English grade 3
- GCSE Maths grade 3

- completed Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) level 1
