Level 1 Health and Social Care

Practical activities and assessment role play’s will take place in our new ‘Ward Room’, where you will work with our real life mannequins and learn to use many different types of equipment, including hoists, slip sheets, rotunda, transfer equipment and a profile bed.

  • Learning Experiences for Children and Young People
  • Managing your Health at Work
  • Working in a Team
  • Creative and Leisure Activities for Adults.

Functional Skills in communication and application of number are an integral part of the course.

We launched our Skills Academy in 2016/17 where students can opt in to further specialist training to enhance their skills and career prospects.

 

Entry Requirements

You'll need to have:

  • No formal qualifications are required, however applicants must have a willingness to learn and provide a suitable reference from their previous education provider or employer.
  • All applicants must complete an initial assessment in Mathematics and English and attend an interview.
