- You will carry out practical activities in our on-site animal facilities, gaining hands on experience of caring for reptile species.
- You will be taught by our industry expert staff who are experienced in a wide range of backgrounds, including zoo-keeping, veterinary nursing, welfare and wildlife conservation.

Units and Structure
The Introduction to Reptiles course is a 3 hour practical based session, covering the following elements:
- You will demonstrate safe working practices within the land based sector.
- You will take part in practical reptile husbandry techniques including cleaning out.
- You will evaluate reptile health conditions and assist with providing supplementary treatments.
- You will carry out reptile handling techniques.
- You will feed a suitable reptile diets for a herbivore, carnivore and omnivore species
