Entry Requirements
You'll need to have:
You must have GCSE English and GCSE maths at grade C / 4 or higher. A GCSE in a science subject can be accepted as an alternative to GCSE maths, but please be aware that most University courses require GCSE maths. We do NOT routinely accept ‘alternative’ qualifications such as Key Skills, Adult Numeracy or Functional Skills in place of GCSE for entry onto Level 3 Access to HE. However, we do consider each application on its own merits.
For most care-related university courses you will need to be able to evidence relevant work experience in a care setting (paid or voluntary) within the last 5 years.
For equivalent qualifications see our Entry Requirements Explained page.
EU students: From January 2021, how you apply for a course will change. For more information, read the UK Government's guide for the UK points-based immigration system for EU students (pdf).
