Course Overview

This qualification forms part of a complete programme which will help to develop necessary skills and knowledge required to succeed not only in the makeup industry, but also in the wider world of work.

You will achieve a nationally recognised qualification in makeup artistry.

Training will take place in our well-equipped, modern make up studio, with instruction from our team of highly skilled, qualified and supportive tutors. This course has strong links with the makeup industry and there are regular workshops delivered by practising industry hair and makeup artists.

You will be taught through a combination of classroom and studio activities and will complete written and practical work. You will learn practical skills by working on your classmates, before moving on to work on models taking part in various shows and events. The photographic make up unit is taught in conjunction with the photography students at the college, and you will gain real life experience in working towards a photographers brief, as well as receiving professional photographs to add to your portfolio.

You will be required to purchase a kit, details of which will be provided at interview.
