Course Overview

Giving you a great introduction to a wide range of Plastering processes, this course builds on already gained level 2 experiences and pushes you to another level of learning. Doncaster College can support you in your personalised learning journey that is tailored to meet your own needs.

Units and Structure

Your course will consist of 5 units

2 Core units:

  • Health, Safety and Welfare and principles of organising
  • Planning and pricing construction work at level 3

3 Practical units:

  • Running in-situ moulds, understand how to interpret, prepare and run internal and external in-situ moulds
  • Apply plastering materials to detailed interiors, interpret information understand how to select and prepare materials for detailed interior work, to apply one two three coat plastering to curved surfaces, apply plastering to piers and beams
  • Applying plastering to exteriors, select and prepare materials apply plaster materials to detailed exteriors

Our workshop consists of individual bays which promote independent learning. There are 3 different areas level 1, 2 and 3.

Entry Requirements

You'll need to have:

Completion of a full level 2 qualification in Plastering  before enrolling on the course.

The course will include the vocational qualification, Maths & English, tutorials, SOLE units and the chance to develop yourself both personally and professionally.

Interviews can be arranged and there are taster days on offer should you want to apply for the course.
