Apprenticeship Levy
In spring 2017 the way the government funds apprenticeships in England is changing. Some employers will be required to contribute to a new apprenticeship levy, and there will be changes to the funding for apprenticeship training for all employers.
The apprenticeship levy will be introduced on 6 April 2017. The levy requires all employers operating in the UK, with a pay bill over £3 million each year, to invest in apprenticeships.
For more information about how these changes will affect your business please contact apprenticeships@don.ac.uk or visit the Government website for details.

Student Comment

I have always wanted to have a positive impact on lives and using sport to do this which I have a keen interest in has really benefited me. My role at Mini Kicks is plan, deliver and deal with promoting the organisation to schools and leisure centres. I love my apprenticeship and can’t wait to wake up in the morning and go to a job where I fill fulfilled.
One day a week I attend college to complete my portfolio which has a range of units tailored to the companies needs as well as my own. I have really enjoyed looking at the Equality and Diversity section as I have learnt about how regulations can impact on my own approach to coaching. The teaching staff at Doncaster College are amazing because they have been so helpful and supportive not only on my assignments but my day to day life.
