Accountancy Apprenticeships

Accounting skills are in demand by commercial and industrial organisations, central and local government, the NHS and the voluntary sector, as well as by specialist accounting firms.

 

Roles broadly encompass recording and accounting for cash and credit transactions and recording payroll transactions. Job titles may vary across sectors and organisations but are likely to include:

  • Accounts Clerk/Accounts
  • Assistant/Finance Assistant
  • Cashier
  • Credit Control Clerk
  • Data Input Clerk
  • Payroll Officer/Wages Clerk
  • Purchase Ledger Clerk
  • Duration

    12 months per level

Entry assessments are required for all candidates.

Qualifications included in the Apprenticeship Framework
Accountancy Certificate at Level 2 or 3
Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 1 or 2

Employment Rights and Responsibilities

You will discuss your individual needs with your employer and college representative.

 

You will be assessed before entry to the Apprenticeship at Level 2 Accounting programme to ensure your suitability for the course, the occupational sector and your potential to achieve the outcomes.
