Access to HE (Environmental and Climate Science)

Our Access to Environment and Climate Change Studies is a new and innovative Level 3 Access to HE Diploma which will enable students to progress to University study in a wide range of disciplines. This course will bring together key strands from science, politics, economics and sociology which together enable the student to begin to understand the scientific basis of climate change and also the socio-economic challenges that are associated with addressing its challenges.

  • Duration

    12 Months

The Diploma covers subjects such as ecosystems and conservation, pollution and energy resources, globalisation and development, biodiversity, tax, inflation and balance of payments. Students are expected to progress to a wide range of degree level courses such as environmental sciences, politics, economics, sociology, international development, human geography.

At the end of each unit, you will complete an assignment to assess your knowledge of the unit.
To successfully achieve your Diploma, you will need a total of 60 credits.

GCSE Math and English grade 4 or above
