This qualification forms part of a complete programme which will help to develop the necessary skills and knowledge required to succeed in the wider world of work. Training will take place in our well-equipped, modern salons, with instruction from our team of highly skilled, qualified, and supportive tutors.

Applicants need to be 19+ to enrol on this course.

Applicants must have a GCSE Grade 3 or above in English Language or Level 1 equivalent in Literacy.

ESOL learners should have achieved Level 1 in all 4 elements -Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. You will be asked to produce evidence of the appropriate qualification.

The ideal candidate will be a good communicator and listener with excellent social skills, demonstrate a degree of artistic skills and flair, be highly dexterous, friendly and have physical stamina.

You will be expected to attend all timetabled sessions and required participate in theory work and distance learning using online resources in your own time at home.

In addition to this you will be required to spend one day per week in a commercial salon/barber shop on a work placement.
