Access to Adult Nursing

Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diplomas provide a route into university education for mature students aged 19+ which is an alternative to traditional A levels.

Access courses develop a students academic skills and subject knowledge which builds on your work and life experience to provide you with a strong foundation to study at university.

Access to H.E. – Midwifery, Child Nursing & Related Professions

This course is for anyone who is interested in progressing to University to study for a degree in a Health-related profession such as Midwifery, Child Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Operating Department Practitioner, etc

The course can be studying over one year (2 days per week in college – Wed/Thur) or over 2 years (one day per week in college – Wednesday only). Please note that due to the current social distancing advice we expect to deliver this course through a mixture of in-class and online learning.

Access courses are for students aged 19+.

Access to H.E. (January Start) – Midwifery, Nursing and Allied Professions

***RECRUITING NOW FOR JANUARY 2020 START***

This course is suitable for anyone wishing to progress to university to study midwifery or nursing, or allied care professions such as Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Diagnostic Radiography, ODP, Speech & Language Therapy, etc.

There are two study options: study over 2 years by attending college 1 day per week (Fridays); or the fast-track option to complete the course over one year by attending 2 days per week (Monday and Friday).   In addition to college days you should expect to do a significant amount of independent study.

The course will run January 2020 – December 2020. You will be able to apply for University courses beginning at any time in 2021.

Access to Higher Education Diploma Humanities and Social Sciences Pathway

Doncaster College Access programme provide a high quality alternative to traditional A level routes into University. It is suitable for people with recent study experience but also for those returning to education after a long break. The age range of our students is typically 19 to 55. Access programmes are developed to enable ‘adult returnees’ to build upon their past work and life experiences to increase their self confidence, self belief, academic and personal skills.

Access to Higher Education Diploma Science and Health Related Professions

Level 3 Access courses allow mature students to progress to University courses. The Science and Health-related Professions route is suitable for anyone wishing to progress to degrees in subjects such as Dietetics, Forensic Science, Pharmacy, Physiotherapy, Biomedical Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Dental Hygiene & Therapy, Radiography, Radiotherapy & Oncology, Zoology or other biology or chemistry-based degrees. ***THIS COURSE IS NOW RECRUITING FOR SEPTEMBER 2020***

Access to Higher Education Diploma Social Work and Criminal Justice Pathway

Doncaster College Access programmes provide a high quality route into higher education for students aged 19+. Access courses are an alternative to traditional A levels. These course are suitable for both mature students returning to education after a significant break and for students who have recent experience of study. The age range of our students is typically 19 - 55.

Access to Mental Health Nursing

Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diplomas provide a route into university education for mature students aged 19+ which is an alternative to traditional A levels.

Air Cabin Crew Level 2

This exciting program is aimed at learners who would like to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of the role of Air Cabin Crew to hopefully progress into employment within the Aviation Industry.

Animal Care C&G Level 1 Diploma

The course is designed for all ages who may be looking for an animal related career. It will provide you with the skills and vocational qualifications to work in an animal related environment.

Animal Care C&G Level 2

The Animal Care Level 2 Diploma provides learners with knowledge and skills in key areas relating to the Land Based sector, supporting progression to Level 3 land based provisions and employment.

Animal Care NOCN Life Skills

The Life Skills programmes of study provide learners with knowledge and skills in key areas relating to the Land Based sector as well as self-development. The course supports progression to Level 1 land based provisions.

Art and Design Level 2

The First Diploma in Art and Design is a one year course designed to introduce you a wide variety of Art and Design techniques.

Art and Design Level 3

The Diploma in Art and Design is a one year course designed to introduce you to the broad range of Art and Design activities available in our well equipped workshops and studios and aims to give you the very best start in your chosen career in the creative industries and help develop your own creative practice.

Art and Design Level 3 Extended

The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design (Fine Art) is a one year top up programme. Together with a previously achieved L3 diploma it is equivalent to 3 x A levels.

Art, Design and Media Level 1

The UAL Level 1 Diploma in Art, Design and Media is a one year course designed to give you an introduction to the skills and technologies you will encounter in the Creative Industries.

Aviation Environment Level 2

The City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Aviation Environment is a great qualification for learners wanting to develop an understanding of the airport environment and is ideal for those wanting to work within the exciting and challenging airport environment.

BA (Hons) Contemporary Relational Counselling

This course offers students an opportunity to take part in an innovative programme of study, enabling them to gain the knowledge and skills required to work as a highly ethical, integrative practitioner in the counselling professions, face to face, online and on the phone.

BA (Hons) Counselling Solutions (Top Up)

The BA in Counselling Solutions is designed to equip existing practitioners to work in diverse professional settings, including face to face, online and telephone clinical practice. The course provides specific theoretical approaches linked to offering solutions targeted to assess and meet clients’ needs in answer to problems such as anxiety and depression, which are encountered in a wide range of settings.

In line with the QAA benchmark statement, it will enable practitioners “to work alongside legal and ethical frameworks” and enable practitioners to consider ethical dilemmas and formulate responses and actions in an appropriate manner.
