Workbased Advice and Guidance Level 2

This qualification is designed for Advice and Guidance working professionals within all sectors. There are options within the qualification to suit any level, from people working in an administrative role to those with a great deal of experience as advisors. They are suitable for anyone working with clients from diverse backgrounds and cultures, providing you with the ability to offer Advice and Guidance on a wide range of issues.

Workbased Advice and Guidance Level 3

The City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Advice and Guidance qualification is a nationally recognised qualification based on industry standards and is suitable for those employees who undertake advice and guidance activities working directly with clients, disseminating information, advice, guidance. Candidates will be working with information that is often interpreted by others, usually working within some clear guidelines. This programme equips with the ability to provide impartial services in advice and guidance and the skills to work with a wide range of clients from different backgrounds and cultures.

Workbased Beverage Service Level 2

The City and Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Beverage Service qualification is aimed at people considering a career within a bar, restaurant or any similar environment. It helps to gain skills and contributes to the development of knowledge and understanding with regards to the beverage service.

Workbased Business and Administration Level 2

A course for people wishing to gain the business or administration qualifications required to begin a successful business or administration career. You will develop your knowledge of how business and administrative studies fit into the organisational world as well as studying business communication and procedures.

Workbased Cleaning and Support Services Level 2

This distance learning programme asks you to complete units to a total of 18 credits. The Underpinning Knowledge is delivered by learning texts and supported by a series of specific tutorials. Competence is assessed by a combination of observation and the development of a portfolio. Further and diverse evidence is obtained through oral questioning and observation.

Tutorials are specifically designed to assist the learner gain the necessary knowledge and to reinforce learning.

The tutor will be available at agreed times to assess work and to provide feedback to learners.

Workbased Customer Service Knowledge Level 2

A blended distance learning programme with flexible start and end dates, this qualification will benefit anyone who wishes to work in a customer centred environment. The aim is to encourage and develop their understanding of customer service.

The qualification is ideal for students who wish to learn about employee rights and responsibilities career pathways in customer service, communicating with customers, promoting goods and services and working as a team.

Workbased Customer Service Level 1

The NVQ in Customer Service is ideal for anyone who’s interested in developing their career in a customer service role. You might be looking for a first job, going back to work or proving your skills to help you get a promotion.

You’ll probably be the sort of person who enjoys talking and listening to people, answering questions, and helping to sort out queries and complaints.

Workbased Customer Service Level 2

The aim of this qualification is to recognise a learner’s achievements within the customer service department. It is also for learners whose job role requires them to deliver continually improving service to customers. These learners may be in roles that carry a customer service specific job title, or their primary responsibility is to deliver excellent service to customers.

Workbased Customer Service Level 3

The Level 3 NVQ in Customer Service is aimed at candidates who will be delivering and managing customer service and are accountable for good customer service. Candidates will be working without direct super-visions or on their own, such as in a commercial customer service department.

Workbased Early Years Education and Care (Early Years Educator) Level 3

The aim of this qualification is to prepare you to become Early Years Educators, enabling you to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. The qualification is suitable for people involved in vocational work, either full-time, part-time or voluntary.

Points to Note: As this is a work-based course you must have secured either voluntary work or employment within a childcare environment working with children aged 0-5, for a minimum of 10 hours per week for the duration of the course.  Please note that you must have been volunteering or working in the placement in which you are to be assessed for at least 12 weeks prior to the course commencing.

Workbased Early Years Education and Care Intoduction Level 2

The aim of this qualification is to prepare you to work with children between birth and five years with knowledge of children up to seven years. The qualification is suitable for people involved in vocational work, either full-time, part-time or voluntary.

Points to Note: As this is a work-based course you must have secured either voluntary work or employment within a childcare environment working with children aged 0 – 5 for a minimum of 10 hours per week for the duration of the course.  You must have been working or volunteering in the placement you will be assessed in for a minimum of 12 weeks prior to commencing the course.

Workbased Equality and Diversity Level 2

A blended distance learning programme with flexible start and end dates.

The NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity is ideal for people who work in industries where good practice of equality and diversity exists. Some of the areas of work where this course might be appropriate include: Public Services, Health Sector, education, Employment Services, Childcare, Armed Forces and many more.

Workbased Food and Beverage Service Level 2

Two comprehensive and detailed food and service qualifications that are flexible around work and therefore suitable for both employers and employees. Proven to improve efficiency, productivity, job satisfaction and motivation.

Workbased Food Preparation and Cooking Level 1

This qualification is a foundation learning programme and provides students with the skills and knowledge needed to work within the hospitality industry.

Students will learn about safety at work and hygienic working practices, understand how to make an effective contribution when working in a team and develop professional skills in the preparation, cooking and serving of food to customers.

Workbased Food Production and Cooking Level 2

The Level 2 NVQ diploma in Food Production and Cooking is suggested for candidates working within local authority catering, school meals, residential and care homes or the National Health Service. It is also recommended for licensed retail outlets.

Workbased Food Service Level 2

The City and Guilds Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Food Service qualification aims to assess/train staff with food service responsibilities within the workplace. It aims to cover the areas of safety and security, dealing with communications, preparing and maintaining the food service area and dealing with customer service issues.

Workbased Hospitality Services Level 2

This qualification allows learners to develop knowledge, understanding and skills essential for working in a hospitality environment, such as front of house reception, housekeeping or hospitality service skills, working with others and improving own performance.

Workbased Hospitality Supervision and Leadership Level 3

The level 3 NVQ Diploma in Hospitality Supervision and Leadership (QCF) is designed for learners who have some experience supervising others or managing resources. It will enable learners to develop their knowledge and skills to progress their career in the hospitality sector.
