Customer Services Team Leader, Allison Pugh and the Marketing team have both been awarded the Professional Recognition Award for the 2015/16 Autumn Term.
Presented by Principal and Chief Executive, George Trow the awards are designed to recognise the professional contribution that staff make towards the work of the College.
Nominators for Allison said that “The award is an appropriate way to recognise Allison’s achievements, not just in the autumn term, but during her 25 years of employment with the College. The previous term had been particularly challenging for the Learning Resources team but Allison has risen to the challenge, managing the logistics of the changes over the summer and was instrumental in designing the new environment so that it was ready for September, minimising the impact on students and on her team”.
The Marketing squad are the first to win the award as a team with nominators praising them for their outstanding job in organisation and operating the annual Higher Education Graduation celebrations in November. The team has faced significant challenges during the last twelve months but have maintained an admiral sense of team cohesion and a level of professionalism that other support services teams should aspire to. Furthermore, the speed of response and quality of work produced is of a consistently high standard and is always provided with a smile!
The award is given three times a year so a member of staff is honoured once a term. Staff are nominated by at least five colleagues from different areas of the College. The College’s Executive team then views the nominations and decides on a winner.
