Total Raised for Local Charity

Posted: May 25th 2016

Our dance students have raised an amazing £1201.29 for local Doncaster Charity Eve Merton Dreams Trust.

Each year as part of their studies the dancers from the Performing Arts department take part in an annual dance showcase which fulfils parts of their grades for completing their qualification as well as raising money for charity. The total amount raised this smashed all previous records for fundraising.

Students took part raising money in different ways such as bag packing at the local Doncaster B&M store, holding a flash mob at the College’s Hub campus with tombola stall as well as performing in their showcase donating ticket sales to the charity.

The students were all very well committed to the events taking place and were motivated in raising as much money as possible for the Doncaster based charity helping make dreams come true for terminally ill cancer patients.

Course Leader for Dance and Musical Theatre, Marie Wroe said, “We are extremely proud of the students’ efforts and of both the fundraising and the quality of work produced for the dance showcase”.
