Apprentices and Employers are rewarded each year for their achievements during National Apprenticeship Week. This year our Apprenticeship Awards are 9 years old! Our awards acknowledge and celebrate apprentices’ and employers that do amazing things in their workplace.
This year entries were judged against criteria for thirteen apprentice categories and two employer categories. We were overwhelmed by the amount of support from our sponsors who are all Doncaster businesses; Smith Brothers, Cementation Skanska, Doncaster College, Aardvark Swift Recruitment Agency, Trackwork, The Gentleman’s Retreat, Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, Doncaster Schools Catering, Doncaster Knights, DETA, Wabtec, Keepmoat and Trax FM.
On the Night
Nominees were welcomed with friends and families to musical student entertainment by our very own rap artist Chris Riley and solo vocalist Rayanne Basley Cox. The presentation of the awards was compered by Trax Fm’s Alex Cann with the evening ending with food and dessert prepared by Hospitality and Catering students.
The College works with many different employers across South Yorkshire. Offering apprenticeships in a range of occupational areas including engineering, motor vehicle, construction, hairdressing, business administration and accountancy.
The evening was live streamed for the first time which you can watch here!
