Eleventh Early Years Conference

Posted: July 21st 2017

The latest Early Years Conference ‘Detoxing Childhood’ took place earlier this month, bringing together fantastic crowds of leading experts in the field of Early Years and Primary Education from across the region.

Early year practitioners and academics had the opportunity to explore the challenges currently faced by young children in modern society. Sue Palmer, Educational Consultant and Author of ‘Upstart, Detoxing Childhood’ and ‘21st Century Boys’ led the day.

Event organiser, Janine Ryan commented, ‘Events like these are very important to us at University Centre Doncaster in developing a community of practice. We are honoured to have such an amazing key note speaker, Sue Palmer, to kick start the day. It was inspiring and informative for delegates who use these events to inform their practice’.

The next conference ‘Supporting Children’s Creativity’ will be held on Thursday 23rd November at the College’s town centre Hub campus where we will be joined by keynote speaker, Trisha Lee from MakeBelieve Arts. Bookings will be made available through Eventbrite at the end of the summer and to take a sneak preview click here!
