Doncaster College students have recently returned from an inspiring trip to Sweden where they were able to gain valuable work experience in their chosen vocations. Students from our Construction, Animal Care and Child Care programmes were fortunate enough to spend two weeks in Linköping, Sweden during Spring 2017, taking part in the Erasmus+ programme.
Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport for 2014-2020 which provides funding for people to study, train, gain work experience or volunteer abroad.
With help from our partner college in Linköping, Anders Ljungstedts Gymnasium School, the students were placed in various organisations. Doncaster College is committed to providing students with opportunities to gain global employability skills and increased awareness of the value of international experiences. Our students have returned with new skills, confidence and help towards their qualification. This is a great addition to their CVs and an increase in their employability as well as being a fabulous cultural experience.
