Young people across South Yorkshire are in for a treat this Summer with activities planned throughout the whole of the School holidays.
Doncaster College and University Centre has been working in partnership with ‘Expect Youth’ with the intention of developing opportunities for young people. Many of the planned activities will be taking place at the College on Chappell Drive and also across ten other locations across areas of Doncaster. These fun and interactive sessions will also be an opportunity for young people to meet new friends and try new activities.
A full list of activities can be seen and booked through the Expect Youth website which is offering fantastic opportunities in a variety of subjects and at different ages including: Forensic Science, Chinese Dance, Boxing, Indian Dance, Fossil Hunting, Superhero Workshop plus many more.
Janine Ryan (Head of Department – Education, Health and Community Practice at Doncaster College and University Centre) said, “We are excited to be one of the Expect Youth Partners offering a full timetable of activities throughout the summer. The Summer holidays can be a challenging time for parents for all sorts of reasons and I hope that the activities and lunches provided support our local community and provide children and young people with some great opportunities.
All activities are registered as learning destinations so it’s an opportunity to collect learning hours for Children’s University too!”
The programmes are running across the whole of the Summer holidays, however booking is essential on the ‘Expect Youth’ website. More details about each activity can be viewed on the website at www.expectyouth.co.uk but spaces are limited!
