With the help of our supportive and passionate tutors, we encourage all our students to go the extra mile. Many of our students have been crowned local, national and international winners in a variety of competitions!

Mitchell Scott

Level 3 Painting and Decorating Apprentice

After winning the Junior competition in 2016, Mitchell Scott was awarded his second national title as the Senior Apprentice Paperhanger of the Year by the Painting and Decorating Association in November 2017.

The competition is so realistic and reflects everyday working situations, including the relationships you build and the pressure you’re under. I was thrilled to find out I’d gained the title for the second year running, it’s a really good feeling.

Student Profile: David Hollyhead

David, who suffers with Asperger’s Syndrome and Dyslexia, left school with just two GCSE’s and was told her wouldn’t progress any further, until a move to Doncaster College changed it all. After completing his Level 3 Business course, David graduated with a 2:1 and has recently completed a Masters at Goldsmiths, University of London.

"The best thing about Doncaster College is that the teachers believed in you. The school experience was so negative so coming to college you really wanted to do something you enjoyed."

We go international

International work experience is a fantastic opportunity to develop both your personal and professional skills whilst experiencing life in a whole new culture - and it looks great on your CV!

Here’s what our student’s said about their trip to Sweden:

“It has helped me a lot with my confidence, and I’ve learnt new Skills!”
Luke, Painting and Decorating.

“Meeting new people and experiencing a new culture was the best part for me!”
Violetta, Animal Care.
