Angela actively supports the development of high- quality early childhood care and education around the world and is an advocate of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. In her previous role as an International Early Years advisor, Angela worked with nurseries providers, private investors and consultants in Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, China, Thailand and Europe.
Over the last 25 years, she has led a varied career in education; starting as a Special Needs Teacher, she then moved to Early Years as a Childminder while being at home with her own four children. She progressed to Early Years Teacher trainer, Ofsted Inspector and then Freelance Consultant before moving to international development. She continues to work as an International Consultant and has worked with global brands such as PJ Masks, Bing and BBC Bitesize. In addition, she sits as a Non-Executive Director on the board of a UK childcare platform company. Angela’s research interests include equity pedagogy; technology, media and remote learning; and how play supports social justice.
