Counselling is a talking therapy, involving talking and listening.
Many people find that talking to a qualified professional counsellor enables them to speak openly and honestly about their difficulties.
College counsellors are here to:
- Listen to you
- Support you
- Help you to develop your strength, enabling you to cope with life challenges in positive and productive ways.
People bring wide ranging issues to counselling, including:
- Low mood
- Challenging relationships
- Difficulties maintaining good work / life balance
- Low confidence and self-esteem.
Please be assured whatever issue is troubling you your counsellor will want to hear about it and support you as you gain insight and inner strength to enable you to cope in more effective ways.
All Doncaster College counsellors are fully qualified and experienced counsellors who work within the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapy’s (BACP) Ethical Framework For The Counselling Professions. The College is an Organisational Member of BACP.
