The way in which you can request additional learning support will depend on whether you have a place on a course already. The information is provided below for both paths.
GOT A PLACE ON A COURSE
If you request additional learning support, or if you have been referred to us, you will have a chat with a member of the Additional Learning Support team Co-ordinators / Specialist Tutors to decide the kind of support that will best meet your learning needs.
Where it is felt that support is needed, an agreement is drawn up with you about the type and level of support you will receive, as well as where and when the support will take place.
The support will be reviewed at regular intervals and may be adjusted depending on your needs and progress you have made.
NOT GOT A PLACE ON A COURSE YET.
If you think you will need some additional learning support but don’t have a place on a course yet, our Learning Support Co-ordinators can be contacted to arrange a look around College and to have an informal chat about what you think your needs might be.
Where relevant, they can also be contacted if you feel some help will be needed at certain points in the application process, for eg
- Support during your interview
- Support during your initial assessment
This type of support would need to be pre-arranged with them to ensure they are available.
