Some of your tutorial sessions will be group-based, focusing on your welfare and personal and social skills. Topics will include healthy relationships, financial education, staying safe, and more.

Our Group Tutorials, along with MySOLE modules, will often link into themed weeks and days at the College, such as Anti-Bullying Week, Stay Safe Week, and Enterprise Week.

Topics Covered in Group Tutorials

These are face-to-face sessions you’ll have with the rest of your group and your SPPT. Attendance of these sessions is mandatory.

You will be kept informed of when these sessions will occur by your tutors.

Exit Diagnostics

You will have completed a diagnostic assessment prior to starting your programme of study. After Easter all full time students will repeat the diagnostic after the Easter break when you have a timetabled Tutorial slot.

You will be emailed a copy of your first diagnostic test result to your College email and then emailed the result of the second so you can compare.

The most important thing is that you try your very best. This test will measure the progress you have made since arriving at College so give yourself the best chance of showing this by using the full allocation of time – don’t rush.

This test is for you to check how much you have progressed and it will also inform you, and Tutors, what areas you still need to work on.

If you would like to talk to someone about the results please see your English or Maths Tutor. Alternatively please contact your Course Leader or Student Progress and Performance Tutor.
