Zara Harvey – BA Hons English

Posted: March 14th 2018

I graduated from University Centre Doncaster in 2011 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in English. Choosing Doncaster allowed me to stay at home, continue to work and maintain an income whilst completing my studies. My initial aim was to become a teacher however due to financial factors I was able to use the transferable skills that my degree gave me and pursued a similar career within BT. I am currently working for BT as an Apprentice Development Coach for South Yorkshire, working with Openreach and Plusnet apprentices. Employers regard written and verbal communication skills highly on their list and these are some of the many skills I gained whilst doing my degree in Doncaster. The smaller class sizes mean that the lecturers know your name and care about you as a person and can help you work to your full potential. One of the many bonuses of choosing Doncaster means that you can stay local and learn whilst going about your normal day to day life. Zara Harvey
